Leader-as-Coach
with Guest Leader Jenn DePrizio
About the Workshop
In this interactive session, we will explore how coaching skills can help you build trust, empathy and empowerment within your team and with colleagues. This approach prepares you to guide your teams toward shared goals and nurtures and promotes autonomy. A leader-as-coach approach empowers staff to overcome challenges and build resilience to do great work. Leaders who embrace coaching create more collaborative, adaptive, and resilient teams—qualities essential in today’s evolving workplace landscape.
Through a blend of reflective exercises, group discussions, and hands-on practice, you will:
• Discover the principles of coaching and how they differ from traditional management approaches.
• Learn core coaching skills, including active listening, powerful questioning, and fostering accountability.
• Develop strategies to create a culture of trust, empathy, and empowerment within your teams.
• Explore real-world scenarios where a coaching approach can address challenges such as change management, team dynamics, and professional development.
Whether you are an experienced leader or just beginning your leadership journey, you will leave with actionable tools and a framework to integrate coaching into your leadership style, enhancing your ability to inspire and support your teams while achieving organizational goals.
